Cumulus MX (when running on Windows) uses the '''.NET''' software. If Cumulus MX is running on Linux or Mac OS X, or any other device that uses UNIX derived operating system, then it uses '''Mono''' software for same purposes. (MONO is a operating system independent version of .NET, although they are developed independently, they have common origins). Please see the [[Cumulus MX]] article for more details of their differences and what will change in November 2020. The date and time format characters in Mono (and .NET) software framework are not exactly the same as the '''Delphi''' software framework ones that Cumulus 1 uses.
