Rain measurement: Difference between revisions

m
m (Added 'Snow, sleet and Hail')
Sleet and hail will normally melt into water that can be counted by a rain gauge, although wind effects are perhaps more likely to distort measurements.

Snow can be recorded using the [[SnowWeather Diary]], it is a bit different to rain as it is not automatically recorded and the timing of arrival and melting can be separated by several days.
