[[User:Sfws|Sfws]] 10:42, 1 December 2012 (UTC) Thanks Mark, I looked at http://www.erh.noaa.gov/cle/climate/info/degreedays.html, http://www.altonaweather.ca/dictio.htm, and did a Cumulus Forum search.  Neither really assisted me to understand the figures Cumulus generated for me, so I had a stab at explaining them to myself.  Sunsequently, with 'write' rights, I thought something should be on the Wiki.  Now I know I got it wrong, I will revise the text and should then get it right.
